Briana Wilson
Senior Strategic Lead of Teacher Externships
Briana Wilson is a native Chicagoan with a passion for addressing educational inequity and reducing barriers to economic prosperity for historically marginalized youth. Briana holds a B.A in Communications from the University of Pennsylvania and a M.A in Education from Dominican University.
Briana began her career as a Teach for America corps member in Chicago Northwest Indiana. She taught special education and served as a case manager within both district and charter schools.
Most recently, Briana served as the Director of Programs for Code Nation Chicago, leading the team charged with offering high quality Computer Science programming to students from under resourced high schools across the city. Briana oversaw the growth of Code Nation Chicago’s student reach, volunteer corps and program staff.
In her spare time, Briana uses her expertise in strategic planning and organizational growth as a consultant for minority owners of small businesses, focusing on increasing their profit margins and reducing waste expenditure in order to thrive.
