Vice President, Engineering, Arity
Emad is vice president, Engineering for Arity, a technology company founded by The Allstate Corporation. In this role, Emad is responsible for leading the design and development of Arity’s products and services ranging from new sensors, mobility centric SDK’s, big data ingestion and persistence platforms, to full stack enterprise and mobile solutions.
Arity’s offerings are powered by the Arity Platform that is built on 30+ billion miles of historical driving behavior data and more than one million active sensor connections, bringing value to companies across the insurance, transportation, and financial industries.
Emad brings 26 years of leadership in the technology sector. Prior to joining Arity he led, managed, and expanded the domestic and global engineering and information technology organizations for LoJack Corp. where he played an instrumental part in delivering significant revenue growth and increased shareholder value. Under his strategic direction, LoJack became a worldwide leader in the connected car, telematics and internet of things space.
Prior to LoJack, Emad served in chief technology officer and technology leadership roles for Rand McNally, Morey Corp., Motorola Inc., Navistar International Corp., CAE and Lockheed Martin. He has developed the software and systems to support telematics, satellite communications, telecommunications and avionics, while leading the digital evolution of some of today’s most iconic companies.
A longtime mentor to junior engineers, Emad has been encouraging young minds to pursue a professional path in science and engineering his entire career. He is a firm believer that technology is a powerful tool in the betterment of society.
Emad has earned bachelor’s degrees in biomechanics from Concordia University – Montreal and engineering from McGill University, and he has master’s degrees in biomechanics from the University of Arizona, and management engineering from Northwestern University. He is currently threatening to complete his Ph.D in the near future.
