Sundeep Vani is the technology director at Archer Daniels Midland Company. In that position, he manages the implementation of new technology initiatives in manufacturing operations across the company. He has led several cost improvement initiatives as well as commercialization of new products across a diverse range of markets, including specialty feed ingredients, enzymes, bio-based chemicals and nutritional ingredients.
Vani previously held management positions in ADM’s Bioproducts and Industrial group, where he worked closely with R&D, operations and commercial teams to bring value to multiple products lines through the implementation of new bioprocess technologies. Prior to joining ADM, he served in technical and management positions at Kelco Biopolymers in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Before that, he worked for Wyle Life Sciences at NASA’s Johnson Space Center on projects that were sponsored through NASA’s Biotechnology program.
Vani holds a Bachelor of Technology (Honors) degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India; a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Rice University in Houston; and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He has several conference presentations and research publications to his credit.
